Iup game
Last night I attended the SRU vs. IUP basketball game. During the first half SRU was dominating the court. The were dropping 3 pointers left and right. Running the same plays over and over it was looking like we were going to dominate the game. As the second half started SRU began to fall onto their heals playing more of a defensive style of play. It was not working though. IUP was going on a scoring streak closing the gap of SRU's lead. We then began to pick up our game again and kept the lead. In the final minutes Iup started to gain on us again. But they fell short. This was such an exciting game. This game put SRU back into 4th place. IUP is a huge rival so it was good for the team to walk away with the win.

I wasn't at the game but I heard it was exciting. I know the ladies lost and that was kind of sad. It's cool that the guys could pull off the win! I'm glad that they dominated early and could hang on to the lead to get the win. I hear it's the first time we have a playoff spot in 9 years!!
I was completely unaware that the SRU mens basketball team has made the playoffs. I knew that we had a surplus of exceptional athletes because of playing basketball at the arc. Last year, the kids from the basketball team would sometimes come down to the rec center and have pick up games. I was able to join some of the games even though everyone was about 9 inches taller than me.
